In 2014, after purchasing their dream home in Westfield, New Jersey, the Broaddus family began receiving ominous letters from someone calling themselves The Watcher, who deemed themselves “in charge of (the home) watching and waiting for its second coming” and awaiting “young blood”.  The stalker seemed to know intimate details about the family and their home, leaving them in a state of fear and paranoia. 
Was it a neighbor, a disgruntled homebuyer, or a prankster? Listen to each letter as we dive into and discuss theories on this eerie tale of fear in suburban America.

Spectrophilia: Ghostly Encounters Of The Intimate Kind

On tonight’s episode, Bobby Washington, Carolyn Grey, and Amy Tydeman discuss the topic of spectrophilia, or having a sexual attraction or sexual encounters with ghosts. 
First, your hosts do a quick dive into tales of celebrities who claimed to have had sexual encounters with ghosts, including Anna Nicole Smith, Cocoa Austin, Bobby Brown, and Kesha. 
Next, Amy takes listeners into the truly terrifying tale of Doris Bither, a single mother of four who claimed to have been repeatedly sexually assaulted and beaten by evil entities in the 1970s. Desperate, Doris sought the assistance of UCLA parapsychologists Barry Taff and Kerry Gaynor, who reported seeing occurrences within her home.  Known as the Entity haunting, Doris Bither’s story was the inspiration for a book and movie and is considered to be one of the most famous and compelling cases by paranormal researchers. 
After, they discuss Paola Flores, a Colombian woman who claims to have had a passionate sexual relationship with a ghost for 20 years until she saw its ugly face, which reportedly looked like a gargoyle with fangs. 
Finally, the hosts wrap up with a couple of “twisted” questions regarding spectrophilia and what they would do in those situations.
